The Impact of the COVID-19 Outbreak on the Globalization Process; Challenges and Opportunities

Abstract
The coronavirus pandemic, which began in 2019, first of all as a widespread humanitarian crisis, affected the lives of millions of people around the world. This global crisis encompasses diverse dimensions and its profound effects on various aspects of human life, including the economy, society, culture and other areas, are still visible. Undoubtedly, this pandemic severely disrupted the global supply and demand system with restrictions such as factory closures, reduced production and restrictions on labor mobility. The continuation of this situation has left a significant impact on the process of globalization, a process that reduces political and economic borders, expands communications and strengthens cultural interactions. This article, with a descriptive-analytical approach and based on library resources, examines the following question: What impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on globalization? The research findings show that although the economic, social and political dimensions of globalization have been affected by this crisis, this process has not been stopped and has continued in a more complex way. In addition, the article addresses the issue of deglobalization, which has received special attention in academic circles in recent years, and explains its place in this.
