Abstract
Paying attention to the economy and its growth and development is a basic and fundamental requirement for governments in order to increase the welfare of the citizens of the territory they govern. In the current world, there is a great difference between countries in terms of development level and economic power, and there exists a deep gap. In the geopolitical region of South Asia, whose countries are among the poor and developing countries, governments have not been able to plan properly in the global economic discourse. The main objective of this article is to explain the economic growth status of the countries of the geopolitical region of South Asia between 2008-2024, which is pursued by applying a descriptive-analytical research method and using library resources. Regarding the subject of the article, the theoretical approach involves the theory of hegemonic stability and economic growth in order to explain the economic growth status of the countries in this region. The results derived from the findings show that the countries of the South Asian geopolitical region have taken steps towards economic growth in view of global developments, but they are still countries with low economic growth.
